Great Eastern Cutlery started producing pocket knives and fixed blades in late 2006.  Since then Great Eastern has established themselves as a premier cutlery company.  Producing pocket knives under the Great Eastern Cutlery, Tidioute Cutlery, and Northfield Cutlery brand names; they already have a well respected line of pocket knives available for the knife collector and knife user alike.  Currently Great Eastern Cutlery has several patterns, that are pictured on this page, in many variations.  More excellent products are coming out of Great Eastern in Titusville PA every week.

Behind Great Eastern Cutlery are two men that are well known to the cutlery industry.  William L. Howard is the President and manages the day to day operations of the company.  "Bill" has many years experience at another cutlery company just down the road in Titusville and brings a vast array of knowledge about cutlery design and production to Great Eastern.  Kenneth R. Daniels is the Vice President and assists in all aspects of company operations.  "Ken" has been a fixture in the collectible pocket knives culture for many years; both producing special factory order cutlery and as a director for the National Knife Collectors Association (NKCA).  These two bring over 60 years of American cutlery experience to Great Eastern Cutlery.

The knives of Great Eastern Cutlery are works of art, ready for the shadow box or the front pocket.  The Northfield and Tidioute lines are 1095 carbon steel that will take and hold a fine edge suiting their workhorse frames.  The Great Eastern Cutlery branded knives are 440C stainless steel.  Some 420C has been used for Special Factory Orders by people wanting a little lower price point knife; so please confirm the tang is marked with Cyclops Steel Works to insure you have the superior 440C steel if you are paying for it.
